Solitude Ski Resort - In Big Cottonwood Canyon, about 20 miles south of downtown. Good steeps, next door to Brighton.
Brighton Ski Resort - In Big Cottonwood Canyon, about 20 miles south of downtown. A shredder's delight.
The Canyons - The Park City Ski Areas, about 30–35 miles east of downtown. Soon to be the biggest ski resort in America.
Deer Valley - The Park City Ski Areas, about 30–35 miles east of downtown. Site of Olympic aerial and mogul events. Always in competition with Whistler for "poshest" in N. America.
Park City - The Park City Ski Areas, about 30–35 miles east of downtown. Site of Olympic slalom, giant slalom and half-pipe events.
Snow Basin - North of Salt Lake City, About 40 miles from downtown. Site of Olympic downhill, Super G, and combined events. You won't believe the amenities. Chandeliers in a ski lodge.... yes, only at Snow Basin!
Powder Mountain - North of Salt Lake City, About 50 miles from downtown.
Sundance Resort - South of Salt Lake City, About 50 miles from downtown. Robert Redford's resort, very nice accomodations, and the least expensive lift ticket in town.
